Dino Rofi was born in Siena in June 1896.
He began his career with an apprenticeship at Fabbrica di Santa Lucia, which he left in 1922.
Rofi proved to be not only an excellent painter but also an excellent ceramist.
Over time he combined his skill in ceramics with the “Siena decor”, Rofi draws inspiration from the lively Sienese culture and environment.
He collaborated with Dario Neri, Vico Consorti and other Sienese artists.
He worked creating advertising for the English and French tourists that visited Siena for its art and for the musical events at Count Chigi Saracini.
He had a fruitful collaboration with Il Monte dei Paschi, from which he received continuous orders and with the Chamber of Commerce of Siena he won awards. Rofi painted his first Palio at the age of twenty-seven, in 1923 and repeated this on ten occasions, the last of which in 1958.
