Arthur Neal was born in 1951, and studied at Camberwell School of Art under Euan Uglow. He later taught in various institutions in the country.
Neal has exhibited in numerous solo and collective shows which include with the Royal Academy; The New English Arts Club, London; Cadogan Contemporary, London; Merriscourt gallery, Oxford; Discerning Eye, Mall Galleries, London; Lynne Strover Gallery, Cambridge and the Alton Gallery London.
Over the past four decades, Arthur Neal has been awarded a number of prizes, the most prestigious including: Being elected for the NEAC in
1992,
1987 and 1990-92 being selected for the Hunting/Observer Art Awards at the Mall Galleries in London and in
1985 exhibiting at J.P.S. Portrait Award, National Portrait Gallery, London.
